Who we are

Kabilar was started by our Founder, Wesley Bell, who is African and is passionate about her success. A passion that was ignited when doing his Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) and through immersion became disheartened by seeing African progress. Africa is a beautiful continent, with incredible people, an abundance of creativity, profound tenacity, bravery and natural wealth yet the vision of Africa the Lion has never crystalized. We continue to have high unemployment, significant inequality, poverty and not valued as equals by our global peers.

Something needed to change, and rather than sit on the sidelines, he chose to found Kabilar and contribute to positive societal impact.

Wesley has 20 years of corporate finance experience with his last corporate role being the Regional Finance Director – Middle East and Africa at a multi-national. He has a proven ability to extract value for shareholders, while also having worked on several merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions. Kabilar has been founded on depth of experience in integrating teams, systems, processes, and practices and he is skilled at building strong partnerships, leading high-performing teams, creating trust, and driving strategic goals across both vertical and horizontal engagement.
